Lack of paruresis support group in tasmania

For the sake of all those living in Tasmania who are troubled by paruresis it would be great to have a support group active and meeting regularly ,maybe one at Hobart and one at Launceston. I realise that paruresis needs to be faced head on then it can be whittled down a bit at a time and finally defeated.I'm still pretty much in running away mode, running seems much easier but I want to defeat this life diminishing phobia and live a full life.Any help in getting a group started in Tas would be much appreciated. Also if anyone in Tas would like to post their ideas it would be great.i wish all courage and success.Wally

onlyafool123,

Because you have attended one of our weekend workshops, you are able to be an official Support Group leader, if you become a member of the Association (fee is $10 a year). There used to be an Adelaide group, but I believe it closed down for lack of support. So if you can find one person to practice with you, you can restart the Adelaide group. Let me know how you get on, and I can have your support group email address listed on the IPA site.

Hello john,

Yes i would like to be a member and i could make a new email address or use my personal email which has my full name which I'd be too embarrassed to use if someone i know found it i still have insecurities about my paruresis.
