penis enlargement surgery option

Post by stanley » Mon Feb 15, 2010 6:47 pm

Hi guys

im thinking of doing penis enlargement surgery as an option to overcome my paruresis, I currently work as and feel that my only life occupation option is as a cleaner, that way i get private access to toilets. I have taken antidepressant medications and seen three different counsillers for my bathroom anxiety which stems from an anxiety of guys secretly looking at my penis and then laughing or mocking me. Even though my penis is average length, i cant bring my self to urinate once i have siezed up with panic and i have tried for 12 years but nothing has worked. It has truly turned my life upside down, do you think a surgeon would give me a phalloplasty (penis enlargement surgery) if i thought it would give me the boost of confidence i need to use urinals and lead a normal life, instead of being a hermit cleaner.

Sorry, also forgot to say that i am totally read up on all the risks, costs and statistics of penis enlargement surgery and am prepared to take the risk, even after seeing the gruesome surgery videos!! So do you think a surgeon would operate in this manner if all other paruresis options had been explored?

Hi Stanley,

as someone with a relatively small penis, and having suffered with medium to severe parureis for 44 years before starting down the recovery road. I would NOT suggest that you undertake this surgery thinking that it will cure your paruresis.

Have you read Steven Soifer's book - Shy Bladder Syndrome..? Have you tried the methods given there to seek recovery?
I like many on this site have made tremendous improvements, to complete recovery, using the desensitisation excersises outlined in the book.

Have you attended a Weekend Workshop? I believe that there is one being planned this year in Sydney over the Anzac Day weekend, and would recommend this to all sufferers of this Social Anxiety Disorder, as it will teach you all about your paruresis and outline methods in seeking recovery.

I personally know that recovery is possible without the need for surgery!!!

Regards, Ross

What other paruresis options have you explored?
If your penis is of average length, then I would hope no responsible surgeon would do anything to it!
But I can assure you of one thing, a longer penis, even if not "messed up", will make no difference to your paruresis troubles. Once paruresis sets in, it takes up a life of its own, and attending to the original "cause", imagined or otherwise, makes very little difference.
Your best options are to join a support group (if you live near one - we have them in Adelaide, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth and Sydney) and to attend the 2010 Workshop in Sydney over the Anzac weekend. See my other post today.
Please drop any thought of surgery!

I don't wish to talk about the surgery option, rather address the other comment you made about having to give up relationships, and never having kids.
This is a common thought process amongst paruretics, and often appears on the IPA website, www.paruresis.org
It is just another one of our unfounded beliefs, and continuation of paruresis thoughts inflitrating into all of our life processes.
The fact is, non-paruretics don't care about paruretics and their quirks and idiosyncracies, and that includes both spouses, children and other family members.
I have a teenage son, and he is not paruretic, as other socialisation mediums such as school, sport etc have come into play.
I doubt whether he even knows I have had the problem, as even though it is much improved, some situations still are awkward.
Fact is, most people only notice themselves, and their own needs - which includes relieving themselves in public.
Get to the workshop, and use whatever tools you can -eg CBT, breathholding etc - to both overcome and survive with this.

Male Enhancement Surgery First of all, male enhancement surgery is called Phalloplasty. It is USUALLY done twice, once for length, and once for girth. (as if ONCE wasn't bad enough..:-) It is EXPENSIVE, costing approximately 10,000.00, depending on where you live and opt to have it done. It is RARELY effective, as phalloplasty has one of the largest patient dissatisfaction quotients of ANY elective medical procedure.

The most effective way to enlarge penises is by constant erotic encounters and specifically by lots of vaginal penetration. Each average-sized penis starts out with some capacity for size expansion - but it it only through correct practical use that this potential is realised. Big penises can stricken the owners of these penises, by competing for nutritional resources [blood] with the penis owner's internal tissues and organs. If the penis becomes really thick and sturdy, its life and death ! Also levitra is good choice.

Male enhancement pills usually contain from 1 to 20 potent herbs, which have a complex influence on men’s health: they purify blood and increase its circulation and flow to the penis area. Most of the components of natural male enhancement products contain L-Arginine. It’s a natural amino-acid precursor stimulating the division of cells.
