Re: Covid and paruresis

Hi James, Thanks for your support. I was thinking how the condition is a social anxiety, or even social phobia, and that in ways it has similarities to COVID. With COVID the body's (automatic) immune system overreacts to a foreign body (virus) which it detects as a major threat. This overreaction ca...

Re: Covid and paruresis

Hi James, I see Sydney has gone back into covid lockdown so it is not over yet, unfortunately. I had badly relapsed before covid, so the reduced social opportunities during the Perth lock-downs have been a un-earnt reprieve. At home I have been distracting myself working on an old car, and at work w...

Re: New Perth Support Group

Hi Bob,

thanks for organizing this group as it has been a big help for me and others. It has been good to discuss the factors which can affect my ability to urinate in public and to practice regularly where there are various facilities available.

Cheers,
Eric.

Re: Perth Support Group Meeting

Hi Bob, I am right to meet at the Casino, if you want to do so in the coming week. I think a week day evening other than Friday would be good for starters. I suspect the Casino will be very modern with separate wall bowls which will not be as daunting as the urinals of old. Please private email me o...

Re: Perth Support Group Meeting

Hi Bob, A central location and close to public transport would be good. I get up early for work, so if we do weeknights I wouldn't want to stay out too late. A bar in the casino is ideal and the toilets there should be suitable with all the bar and casino traffic. Will be a challenge for me, as I ha...

Re: Changing careers.

I would say a job where both sexes work together would be best. When there are men and women there tends to be a bit more discretion and privacy. Smaller places where there might only be one loo for everyone, or one each for men and women is ok, because they will be single cubicle. Places with loads...
